Q&A Fabio Arciero A Number Of Names

Nobody has a more fashionable name than my next guest. Step forward Fabio Arciero. He deserves to be on the blog due to his name alone. Fabio, is one of the main guys at A Number of Names and looks after labels such as Gourmet, Cav Empt and Bedwin amongst others. He’s a very nice young man and one who is destined for big things in the future. Let me introduce you to Surbiton’s answer to Eminem, Mr Fabio Arciero….

What did you have for breakfast?

I’ve noticed everyone on here either puts sophisticated breakfasts like “rolled oats with quinoa and grapes” or “just coffee and cigs’ like they’re on a supermodels diet.

I have a strong coffee before I leave the house, then when I get to the office I’ll get another coffee usually from the Ace, and at least 3 days out of the week I’ll get drawn into a toasted cheese sandwich or bacon and egg roll.

What’s good about your hometown?

I live in Surbiton in south London, where BBC sitcom ‘The Good Life’ was based.
Contrary to some peoples opinions, there’s no shame living in the suburbs and I love it.

I’ve served my time living in squalor, at one time I lived in a basement flat under the Turkish Kebab shop on Shoreditch High Street and it was awful… people used to regularly piss on my kitchen window whilst I was making dinner.

Provide us with a synopsis for your autobiography in 140 characters and what would you call it?

“The Wardrobe of Destiny”

He laughed, He Loved, He tried to dress nice….

If you could punch one celebrity in the face with absolutely no repercussions, who would it be?

I hate confrontations, but really hate a lot of celebrities.
Also, despite being a big lad, I’m pretty soft.

Tell us something that not many people know about you?

I used to be in a hip hop group, we were once described by HipHop Connection magazine as the next big thing in British Hip Hop. We clearly weren’t.

You’ve got £300 to spend on one new item of menswear, tell us what you’re gonna be buying?

At the moment I’d buy a load of really nice socks, probably Anonymous-ism from Japan… 300 quids worth should last me a while.

Favourite 3 labels over the last 20 years?

BAPE – I know… I know… but I’ve always been into it, although as it’s changed so much recently I’ve had to turn away. Sorry.

Ralph Lauren – transcends Age, Class and Genre. Every man has some RL in his wardrobe.

Silas & Maria – (circa 1998-2005) I was all about that in the early days… just ask Craig Ford.

If a film was made of your life, tell us four songs that would definitely be included on the soundtrack including one for the closing credits?

Intro – Aeorsmith, Sweet Emotion

Middle – Assault on Precinct 13 (1976) – Main Theme Disco Version

Third Act – Will Oldham – May it Always Be

Credits – Aphrodites Child, The Four Horsemen
